I didn’t even know what a Dietitian did. However, I was fascinated by the influence food has on health. After my research, a dietetics qualification was the gold standard of nutrition knowledge so that choice was inevitable. I did not do chemistry and biology at school so signing up to UNI was a huge commitment. I persevered with countless hours of tutoring and sleepless nights to study. After 4 years, I earned my Bachelor Health Science (Nutrition and Dietetics) with honours.”

I love working for CQ Nutrition, it is my second family. It is a great supportive team. I enjoy greeting patients and assisting them with the stages of their journey, it is great pleasure seeing the smiles on their faces when they have made great progress. I will be forever grateful to be a part of such a great team.

My interest in nutrition and health along with my love of food is the reason I became a dietitian.

I always wanted to work in health to help people but I could not deal with the blood and guts so I became a Dietitian. Also, as a teenager, I had body image issues and tried losing weight by not eating at school and having shakes for meals. Now, I know the right way and I love helping people lose weight through education and empowerment, rather than restriction.

My love of food and cooking is the reason why I decided to become a dietitian.

My inspiration to become a dietitian stems from my strong passion for food and nutrition and my desire to help people make healthier food choices.

I love the AHA! moments that clients have during counselling sessions. There is an overabundance of information out there and it is difficult to pick between what is true and false. I believe in providing accurate and credible information to people and working with them to incorporate healthy changes into their lives in a sustainable manner.

After a back injury saw my nursing career come to an end, I decided to re-train as a dietitian. Becoming a dietitian ticked all my career objectives. I wanted to: Engage people to work towards health and wellness goals. Assist vulnerable populations to live happy fulfilled lives. Spread the word about managing health and wellness through food.

Working for CQ Nutrition has been an amazing journey. I’d like to think of myself as an artistic person and being a part of the support team that is mainly focused on the social media and advertising side of the business, my creativity is challenged and sharpened on a regular basis. Working with great people is a bonus!

What I love the most in working with CQ Nutrition is that I can talk to different types of people every day. I never felt more at home with my CQ Nutrition family. As an outgoing and friendly person, I have used that attitude in serving our clients and making them feel at ease with us. Since working with CQ Nutrition and as a former athlete, it made me realized that being healthy and staying fit is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself.

I enjoy working at CQ Nutrition because I get to meet a variety of different people, watch them change their lifestyles and help them grow to be healthier. By knowing that this community is being shaped and enhanced by these types of practices is exciting and I’m glad to be a part of it, Even if it is just making clients feel welcomed and comfortable when they first walk through the door. Even the simplicity of a smile, I know that I helped the Dietitians at CQ Nutrition and planted a seed that leads to a great experience for the client with their Dietitian. Seeing the change in a client inspires me to grow and change myself.
